About Sean

Sean is a specialist coach in the practical dynamics of mindful activity, helping people understand how ideas shape experience, and how to utilise this understanding to enhance performance and wellbeing. He is a certified Alexander Technique (ATI) teacher as well as a Comprehensive Pilates instructor (BASI). He holds a National diploma in Dance from the Tshwane University of Technology and studied a BA Dramatic Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Over the past 20 years he has explored the interface between thought and action in many spheres of life including everyday movement, exercise, injury rehabilitation, well-being, self-care/ self-management (physical, emotional and psychological), performance, productivity, speaking and communication.  Sean has worked with sports and entertainment professionals to help improve their performance, most notably golfers, runners, tennis players, boxers, strongmen, rowers, ballet dancers, gymnasts, musicians, singers.

He has worked extensively with people recovering from surgery or injury, both rehabilitative and re-educative, to build healthy habits as a preventative measure against future injuries. He has successfully helped in the recovery from surgery to the spine, shoulder, hip, ankle, feet, and those suffering with neck and back pain, herniated spinal discs, sciatica pain, ruptured ACL, scoliosis, hip pain, knee pain, foot pain, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, rheumatoid arthritis, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

He has worked with businessmen and women to bring greater clarity and insight into how their moment-by-moment choices are affecting their wellbeing and their productivity, which results in better decision making, a calmer disposition, better working relations, improved ease in speaking and communicating ideas and handling stressful situations.

In the performance arena Sean helps singers, actors, and dancers to perform their craft free from debilitating tensions. His own personal training and experience as an actor, singer, dancer, director also gives him the know how to deal with issues around ‘performance’ in the business environment, and to do so whilst managing anxiety which often accompanies giving presentations.

Above all Sean is always able to meet people where they are and adapt his coaching to the needs of the individual or group.
